What was once a small group of intermediate drillers has transformed into an elite team of high school and graduated competitors across the southern United States. The team members within have not only claimed numerous titles within the solo and team exhibition drill world, but have also strived for the last year and a half to inspire and motivate other drillers to improve and succeed. This team is known as Generation Drill.

In January of 2015, Noah De Los Rios founded Generation Drill with one mission in mind: to inspire and develop drillers from all generations, past, present, and future. Since then, the team has grown to fifteen members in size ranging in location from Sacramento, CA to Marietta, GA. 

While the focus of Generation Drill is primarily solo/tandem based, many of the team members are well versed in the world of platoon exhibition/regulation drill. Notably, members Noah De Los Rios and Caleb Lopez were a part of the Flour Bluff Sea Devil Armed Drill Team that won the Armed Demilitarized category at NHSDTC in 2013 and 2014.

The past year in particular has been a very successful one for this team. Chris Revetta snagged the Arizona State Solo Championship for the third year in a row, Cooper Donlin was victorious at AF Deep South Regionals, and each of the team members maintained an intense level of competition at local meets across the country. The grandest of them all came when Revetta and Donlin both made the podium in the Demil Arms Solo category at NHSDTC 2016, Cooper claiming Third Place and Chris assuming the title of National Champion for his final year of high school. The upcoming drill season for Generation Drill is a very promising one indeed. While several of the members have graduated and look to compete in the 2017 World Drill Championships, a few high school members, such as Noah Calvert and earlier mentioned Cooper Donlin, look to dominate the high school drill scene this coming year. Stay tuned for more success stories from a group founded on the basis of receiving trophies that read “First Place.”
